SPOT Pacific Coast Trips
The SPOT Pacific Coast trips will take you to a beautiful site along the Pacific Coast for a five-day camping trip down in Big Sur. Many of our participants are first time campers, and our leaders are excited to facilitate an enjoyable pre-orientation outing.

Sample Schedule
- September 12: Arrive Stanford check in to SPOT, get to know your SPOT leaders and members of group, organize gear and food, Pizza party, camp on Roble Field
- September 13: Depart campus early for your SPOT destination. Once you arrive your will set up camp and begin to form new friendships that will last your whole Stanford career
- September 14: Hiking options for the day, SPOTlights
- September 15: Get up early to watch sunrise form the top of a volcanic cinder cone, spend the afternoon by the a mountain lake
- September 16: Solo reflection time by a mountain lake, skits, songs, celebrate your last night in the mountains
- September 17: Wake up early, board the buses back to Stanford. Shower and get ready for slide shown and Tostada party on Roble Field
- September 18: NSO begins at 8:00am. You will be escorted to you res. hall by your SPOT leader and ready to begin life at Stanford with 11 new SPOT friends.
