Course Description
This two hour clinic is designed to give beginners an introduction to indoor rock climbing. No prior rock climbing experience or knowledge is required. Topics covered include belaying skills (properly using the top-rope safety system), bouldering & spotting technique, climbing grade scales, types of handholds, and basic footwork.

Course Description
This clinic covers how to climb in a fluid and energy efficient manner, with a focus on body positioning and footwork techniques including rock-overs and backstepping.

Course Description
The Crack Climbing clinic will introduce students to various techniques for utilizing crack features in rock while climbing.

Top-rope belay certification at SCW and the ability to consistently climb 5.10 or higher

Technical Skills
Course Description
A two-part advanced clinic that covers how to sport lead climb and lead belay in an indoor climbing gym. This clinic is designed to prepare you for the SCW Lead Test.
Prerequisites
At least 1 year climbing and belaying experience, current top-rope belay certification, and ability to comfortably climb 5.10b on top-rope

Course Description
Are you thinking about starting to climb outdoors but don't know how to set up top ropes or clean anchors? In two short sessions we will cover how to build a safe anchor at the top of a sport climb and how to rappel back to the ground with your rope and gear.

Course Description
This 5-week seminar series introduces climbers with multi-pitch experience to necessary skills for self-rescue in sport and traditional rock climbing. The focus is on developing practical skills by working through common rescue scenarios.
Prerequisites
Instructor consent is required. Current SCW lead belay certification, successful completion of the Sport Anchors & Rappelling clinic and Multipitch clinic, or equivalent experience is required.
